The research of rapid mould change of injection moulding machine began. This research investigates the influence of mould change on production efficiency and production cost in the production process. Rapid die change includes the switch between different material numbers of the same die and the switch between different dies. It mainly shortens the time of changing dies by increasing the number of spare dies, improving the structure of dies and improving the level of the die changer.
In the production process, each factor has different influence on rapid die change. According to the current situation, the main factors affecting rapid die change are the number of die change, the number of die change, the skills of die change, etc.
On the premise of not changing the existing production conditions, the different levels of the three main factors mentioned above are collected. Through the analysis of the experimental design, the combination is obtained: the number of die changing is 3 sets, the number of die changing is 1 time, and the skill of die changing is the skill of intermediate die changing teacher. This combination makes the production efficiency more than 85% and the production cost controlled within the budget, so as to achieve the expected goal of the study.
